University-Ravenna Cooperative Preschool invites all returning and new incoming families to our Spring Orientation on Monday, April 27th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. We’ll get excited for the 2020-2021 school year, vote in our new Board, and announce class jobs for next year. Because of the current “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order, we’ll be hosting Spring Orientation via Zoom this year.
Co-op preschools differ from traditional preschools and daycares in that they are run entirely by the enrolled families. Our parents work together with our teachers and our North Seattle College Parent Educators to create a fun and engaging environment for our preschoolers to learn and grow. Our parents also hold volunteer administration jobs to keep the preschool running smoothly behind the scenes. Determining who will hold each volunteer administrative job is an important part of Spring Orientation. To help us prepare for this task, please fill out the Parent Jobs Survey that was included in the Spring Orientation email you should have received this week by Wednesday, April 22nd.
Descriptions of each job were sent to all incoming families in the Parent Jobs Survey. Please read through the job descriptions, even if you were in our preschool this past year, as there have been some changes. Job descriptions and more about how our co-op preschool works are also included in our Parent Handbook, which we encourage you to look over prior to Spring Orientation.
We’ll also be sending out an agenda for Spring Orientation closer to the meeting. Until then, please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
Finally, if you’re new to co-op preschool, we encourage you to check out our Orientation Tour here on our website before Spring Orientation.
