The University-Ravenna Cooperative Preschool’s Pre-3s Class is now enrolling!
Our Pre-3s Class is for children who will be two by August 31st. The class meets twice weekly on Tuesday from 9:00 – 11:00am and Friday from 9:00 – 11:00am. Class begins in September and follows the Seattle Public Schools academic calendar.
Our Pre-3s Class is taught by Teacher Christi. Teacher Christi uses her vast skill set to help kids develop creativity, social skills, emotional intelligence, scientific curiosity, literacy, imaginative play, fine and large motor skills, math concepts, Spanish, and a lifelong love of learning. Her professional drama experience means her circle times are engaging for both the children and adults in the class. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself singing her songs with your child on days when you’re not even in class!
Parents attend class once a week with their child, supervising a learning area and assisting the teacher, and drop their child off on the other day. Families that attend class on opposite days are paired up, providing each child with a buddy parent they know they can turn to on their drop-off day. Parents also attend a once-a-month evening parent education class taught by Parent Educator Dawn Carlsen. Learn more about the parent’s role in our coop preschool and the North Seattle College Cooperative Preschool Program here.
This class is a great opportunity to expose your child to a wonderful play-based education and to give your child a safe environment for what might be their first drop-off experience. Contact the Parent Coordinator to set up a tour of the classroom and fill out an online application form.
